The Pardoned

He turns death stones into testimonials of life!

He turns death stones into testimonials of life!

If you have never heard my husband, Tim Greene, speak about the woman caught in the act of adultery, you are missing out! There is so much revelation in this message, it blows my mind. Jesus not only took care of the accusers, but He did it lawfully! He used His own law to provide mercy and a way of escape for the poor woman. He quoted the law to the Pharisees that said if they were eye witnesses, and not giving a false witness, then they had every right to cast the first stone. They all left!! Could it be NONE of them were eyewitnesses? It stands to reason for they would not be caught dead in a place where they would be observing her “in the act.” And the way He handled it gave the accusers a place to find mercy as well! The law, the truth, Jesus, is full of both righteousness and mercy. Whatever situation we find ourselves in, we have hope because Jesus is fighting for us, not against us!

The death stones which once were held by the accusers and promised me certain demise now lay in a heap and have transformed into stones with testimonies of His redemptive power! He paid my debt! He freed me from being condemned to death. I walk in the liberty of “no condemnation.” It reminds me of a death stone that sealed the grave of a man who gave Himself for me. That death stone transformed into a testimony of life! We still use the image of that “death stone” today to represent how He conquered death with life!

He is our redemption!

He is our redemption!

My process: Today’s page from the Woman’s Voice devotional is made from a paper bag, some washi tape, shoe polish, glue and pens! I found an old bag from office depot that I used to make the rocks. I crumpled the paper and then tore it into rock shapes. I used some shoe polish (cause that is what I had handy) but any kind of ink or paint would work! I brushed it across the “rocks” and glued them down to the page. Then I added some testimonials of how He has provided a way out of death for me! I drew in some shadows behind the rocks cause it felt like it needed a little contrast. I tried to sum up what I feeling in the wording at the top and then just decorated around it with paper and washi tape until I was happy with how it looked! The black tape with the bright flowers speaks of life and hope to me! As I was creating it, the song we sing by Charity Gayle & Ryan Kennedy, Echo. with the lyrics “…made accusers drop their stones…” kept playing over in my head, so I added that along the bottom of the page.

I want to encourage you. You can make your own creative journal, with your own words that Jesus is speaking to you! It takes a little time, but it gives you a chance to create with the Lord and to spend some quality time with Him.
